Yoga Nidra based Retreat Weekend – Stillness and Movement

7 pm Friday 6 March to 2 pm Sunday 8 March 2020
Boswell Farm, Harcombe, Sidmouth, Devon EX10 0PP
A residential weekend with a relaxing programme of Nidra and Asana
Spring will be in the air, the evenings will be getting lighter, take space away to be looked after, to reflect and to be yourself in a nurturing environment.
About the weekend
Boswell Farm provides a lovely setting for this relaxing Yoga weekend.  If you have experienced Yoga Nidra you will already know how relaxing it can be.  Nidra or ‘sleepless sleep’ provides a space where you can simply be and in that being you may find insight, peace and healing, without trying.  Practising Nidra several times during the day and evening in a group, with a teacher gives a more intensive experience than listening alone to a recording.  Each Nidra practice will be different so you will get to know what you like.  I will also give teaching about the origins of the practice, some of the components of Yoga Nidra and guidance on Sankalpa or intention in Nidra. There will be time to share experience and ask relevant questions about the practice.
There will also be two asana classes where we will practice together and enjoy the physicality of our bodies as we experience the benefit that deep relaxation brings to the body in asana.

Accommodation, Food and Yoga Space
Boswell Farm consists of a group of cottages, set in their own grounds, together with a studio for Yoga and Nidra Practice. The Linhay Cottage will be the group centre where meals will be taken together. This house is also has a large sitting room for group use.  A second cottage, the Cider House is reserved for our group, and has downstairs sleeping accommodation and bathrooms with smaller kitchen and sitting room upstairs, so there is plenty of space for everyone.  Sleeping accommodation is in twin rooms with shared bathrooms. Linen and towels are provided. There is one ensuite room. All meals and drinks are included. Delicious vegetarian food includes a self service breakfast, a hot buffet style lunch and a sit down evening meal.
The Yoga space is a beautiful studio with a sprung wooden floor, good natural daylight and a lovely outlook across green countryside. The walking route from the cottages to the studio is via a steep, rough track. Alternatively you can use a vehicle to drive to it via some short country lanes. Once at the studio access is via a low step and the  building is level throughout. There is a footpath walk around the 45 acre grounds as well as easy access to the coast at Sidmouth, Branscombe and Beer.
